Individual Therapy

Many people come to therapy to get relief from uncomfortable symptoms like worry/anxiety, depression, or stress due to difficulty in relationships, work, etc. Others may come at the suggestion of concerned physicians or friends and family members. At SoulSeed we believe symptoms are the culmination of our bodies physiological bandwidth being maxed out and need for relief. At our practice, we address relevant aspects of what brings you into therapy by looking at the whole person. Population specific work includes LGBTQ, first generation immigration and family, race & identity formation, life transitions, grief, anxiety, and depression. We acknowledge therapy is hard work and, as such, it takes time, trust, risk, and vulnerability. The dissonance between the person we strive to be and the person we are is what brings up the symptoms of anxiety and depression, and we recognize our work starts with symptom management and creating necessary lifestyle changes in order to live the life we want.

Relationship Counseling

Relationship/ Couples Counseling is most effective when both members of the couple feel safe, supported and understood. "Good" relationship work is often the outcome of both members of the relationship doing the work necessary to get to know themselves as individuals, so they can understand the part each plays in the relationship’s dynamic.   Improving communication is a clear goal of the work, but if we don’t know what we need to talk about, improving "how" only works to an extent. We use Gottman relational methodology to support couples with exploring emotional and relational patterns, addressing past traumas, and learning effective conflict resolution and communication skills.

Relationship Coaching

Relationship/ Couples Coaching focuses on helping couples achieve specific goals, improve relationship dynamics, and overall partnership collaboration. Coaching is more action-oriented and forward looking. Our coaching modality assists couples with setting and working toward specific objectives such as improved communication, reigniting emotional & physical intimacy, and achieving shared goals. Our coaching consists of setting clear action plans, exploring specific tools and exercises relevant to desired relationship experience, and offering accountability to support couples with making positive changes in their relationship.
